Langholm Playcare Ltd provides a safe, happy, interesting and stimulating environment through an excellent range of activities and learning opportunities. Through play children become confident and independent. 

 

Children learn to share and respect their peers, adults and the environment. Funded Early Learning and Childcare is provided to children between 3 and 5 years. Eligible children are entitled to receive 1140 funded hours delivered        pro-rata depending on birth date. These can be taken term time only or on a     

more flexible basis spead over more weeks throughtout the year. Planning for these sessions takes into account the Scottish Executives Curriculum for Excellence Framework, though emphasis is on delivering learning through play. 

 

A variety of resources are used for this age range to deliver the eight curriculum areas. All of which are provided within a supportive play environment. 

 

We have an upstairs games hall to extend our physical activity with an extensive range of equipment. 

 

Staff provide support to encourage the skills of the children to develop which enables an easier transition into nursery/school.
